Come join us to learn from guest teacher, Maggie Jensen. She will teach us how to prepare our gardens for an easy and healthy transition to the planting season by suppressing weeds and building soil. She'll explain ground cover options with hands-on demonstrations, the use of repurposed silage tarps, mulch and weeding techniques, and more.

Maggie is an organic edible gardening consultant (IG: @maggiesfarm.gardens) and the Farm Manager at the Eckerd College Community Farm (IG: @eccommunityfarm). She is a life-long Florida resident with decades of organic gardening and farming experience in Florida. 

This will be a hands on class, outside so bring a hat for shade and a water bottle.
