Collards - Alabama Blue

Collards are another must have addition in the Floirda garden. Can be grown nearly all year, and give tons of ultra nutritious and tasty greens, enough for you and your neighbors. 

Our personal favorite variety to grow, this Alabama heirloom exhibits a broad spectrum of stunning leaf colors, including green, blue-green, and purple leaves adorned with white, pale green, and plum-colored veins. Unlike many collards, these plants feature smaller leaves, enabling closer spacing. The leaves are not only more tender and quick to cook but also retain their sweetness for an extended period in hot weather. This is typically our last collard standing when the summer heat starts to move in.
