Cucumber - Cucumelon, Mouse Melon (4" pot)

Incredible, small cucumber fruit is shaped like tiny watermelons. They are good added to salads or can be pickled whole. They have a cucumber-like taste with a touch of lemon. The ornamental vines have tiny leaves and flowers and are perfect for the cottage garden. Very unique and fun for kids. Huge yields. More heat tolerant and pest resistant than most cucumbers.

Pest/Disease Management: Does need to be protected from caterpillars, particularly when young, which can be done with hand picking or selectively spraying with organic caterpillar treatments. We use BT (sparingly) for caterpillars. Resistant to most mildews but may still occur. We treat with a spray of half water and half milk for mildew.
