Papaya - Tainung

Tainung papayas are a popular, Taiwanese-bred hybrid celebrated for their high sugar content, oblong football shape, and vibrant reddish-orange flesh. Averaging 2 to 4 lbs., these fruits are disease-resistant with a sturdy skin, and their trees are highly sought after by home gardeners because they are fast-growing, semi-dwarf, and self-fertile. Many who say they don't really enjoy papaya have said they did like this variety. Definitely worth a try.
